A 14,000-square-foot, cultural project located in a vital cultural resource for New York City, the Museum of Modern Art, New York and P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center on Jackson Avenue at the intersection of 46th Ave in Long Island City. The temporary structure is designed to foster relations through 'Warm Up', a very popular music series held annually.
The building was constructed from a wood space frame truss and canopy with an oil based enamel finish, wood deck with rolled, skid and waterproof paint, and Techno gel seating. The project is built in 19 structural modules fabricated and finished off-site. Each module was designed for ease of transport through the existing P.S.1 loading dock to the exterior gallery.
