The 24th Senior High School in Shenzhen engages architecture in the act of education; it presents students a physically kinetic architectural language that makes no references to a traditional school typology, but rather looks elsewhere to encourage student inquiry and provoke curiosity. The opportunity to achieve this goal arises due to the shape of the site and the requirements of the program. We explored the hybrid territory of a landscape wherein building and site is perceptually interchangeable. The classrooms engage the landscape due to the temperate nature of the climate in Shenzhen.

深圳市第二十四高级中学将建筑设计融入教育之中。有别于传统校园的建筑类型,透过建筑语汇的物理联系与学生产生交流,鼓励学生进行探索并激发学生的好奇心。由于场地的形状以及校园机能的需求,使我们有机会能够实现这个目标。我们努力探寻地景上糅合各种场域的可能性,其中建筑和场地本身在感知上可以完美地互相交融。再者,由于深圳的温和气候,使得室内教室也能够大量借景户外景观,成为优值的学习环境。
