A 315,000-square-foot digital library in Karachi, Pakistan, very connected city with a major port linking it to the world. The digital library elevates the technological threshold for all civic buildings in the city. The building is constructed using a combination of poured and pre-fabricated panels assembled on site.
The harsh climate with high heat and monsoon rains inspired us to integrate the sun shading with the form. A water management system that affected the form of the landscape serves as a large retention pond with mechanisms to drain the water slowly back into the city drainage system.
巴基斯坦-卡拉奇数字图书馆面积为315,000平方尺。卡拉奇交通发达， 连接世界各地的主要港口。数字图书馆的设计提升了该市所有民用建筑的建造技术水平。该建筑结合了现场浇筑和预制水泥板在现场进行组装的方式建造。
当地高温和季风降雨带来的恶劣气候启发我们把遮阳的功能结合到了建筑的形体中。一个水控系统形成了景观形态的一部分，它的功能是作为一个大型蓄水池蓄水，再慢慢地流入城市的排水系统。
